The CUBO International Study Tour will take place between Friday 23 June and Thursday 29 June and includes attendance at the CUBO Summer Conference 2017 at the University of Kent and is aimed at international delegates only.

A brief outline of the programme is as follows:-

Friday 23 June: Arrive in London and check in accommodation at the London School of Economics, Bankside House followed by lunch and welcome.  A visit to LSE for a presentation and tour of the buildings, then on to visit Urbanest Building at Westminster Bridge – unique accommodation offer in central London.  Evening, Dinner at the Palace of Westminster, a unique and once in a lifetime opportunity to attend an exclusive dinner created for the CUBO study group, a dining experience that is not available to the general public.

Saturday 24 June: A tour of Unite accommodation, a range of first class student facilities within London with presentations.  Dinner will be at the Mayflower Pub.

Sunday 25 June: Presentations at King’s College London followed by a traditional British Sunday Roast lunch. There will be free time to explore London and a twilight performance of Romeo and Juliet at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. A unique London experience with an opportunity to enjoy this play in a setting similar to the one an audience in the early 1600’s would probably recognise.

Monday 26 June: Check out of accommodation and depart LSE with luggage.  Our study tour bus will take the group to the University of Cambridge to visit St John’s College.  An exciting opportunity to experience both traditional and more modern facilities offered to students at a world class institution.  Presentation on Food Service and Commercial Business by Bill Brogan, Catering and Conference Manager.  Tour will end at approximately 2.30 pm when tour bus departs for University of Kent to join the CUBO Summer Conference for 3 nights.

Tuesday 27 June 2017: A tour of the University of Kent looking at the accommodation and food service, followed by lunch.  CUBO Conference commences followed by an evening social and dinner at Whitstable Beach.

Wednesday 28 June: CUBO Conference Business Programme and the evening Gala Dinner, which will be black tie and cocktail wear.

Thursday 29 June: CUBO Conference will conclude at 1 pm.
